Get Your Head Up, You're Missing It

We all play a significant role on the weekend, from serving behind the scenes, to playing a guitar, to running mic stands out, some of us lead worship, those of us at FOH we enjoy pushing faders on different consoles and the list of serving opportunities go on and on.

One of the biggest barriers with those who serve on the platform and those who serve on the production team in regards to our congregation is this right here. We are so lost and consumed with our roles and with our weekend task that we often find ourselves with our heads down and we are missing it. There is no connection. "We will do our thing, and you (congregation), you do your thing."

Again, what is happening in the room is far more important than what is happening at your feet and hands. When you get lost in your task and usually it's due to a lack of preparation you miss what is happening in the room. This goes for production roles as well. You don't have to stare at your consoles the whole time, get your head up! Do not miss what is happening in the room. This is where we most likely miss the seeing of life change taking place in our churches and the vision that keeps us pushing forward.

This week with your teams lead with strong vision on the importance of keeping your head up. Remind them to over prepare so that they can focus on what God is doing in the room.
