Worship Leader Voice

Be who you are, all the time.

Often, we find ourselves on the platform putting on a front because we want people to think we are something that we are not. You may be a worship leader, a communicator, or you might serve in an influential role on the production team. We want people to think we are better than we are, because we are confused.

One of the worst ways to damage your influence, is to be a leader who is inconsistent on and off the platform. I call this in the worship ministry, "having a worship leader voice". As silly as it sounds, we all know people, including ourselves, who are on stage that audibly sound different when they speak on the platform. Be who you are, all the time.

Let me take this a little further. If you are a leader on the platform stop talking to the congregation like you are their mom and dad. Nobody likes that.

Today people want and desire those in leadership and those on the platform to be real and authentic as they can be. I encourage everyone in every role, be who you are, all the time.

Have fun, make a difference, be who you are, and lead strong.
